West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley believes that Romelu Lukaku changed the game when he was brought on against Manchester United and that he was "unplayable".

The Belgium international scored a second-half hat-trick against the Premier League champions to bring his side back from the brink at 5-2 down to draw the match 5-5 in a thrilling encounter at The Hawthorns.

McAuley told the club's official website: "We got an extra forward on and Rom was unplayable. He changed the game and he got his first-ever hat-trick which is fantastic.

"We're all buzzing for him. It was fitting for him to do that. It was just an amazing game of football. I think there would have only been one winner if the game had lasted another five minutes."

Lukaku's loan spell at the Baggies has now ended and he will return to parent club Chelsea.
