Nemanja Matic: 'Manchester United are ready for Liverpool'

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic says that he and his teammates are fully prepared for the Premier League encounter with Liverpool at Anfield.

Midfielder Nemanja Matic has demanded that Manchester United remain focused for the entire 90 minutes when they face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

United head into the game on the back of six wins from seven games in the Premier League, while two victories have already been recorded in the Champions League.

However, scrappy goals were conceded at Stoke City - while CSKA Moscow and Burton Albion have both netted last-minute efforts against United this season - and Matic has admitted that he and his teammates cannot afford to lose concentration against their fierce rivals.

The 29-year-old told MUTV: "We have prepared very well, the manager got some videos for us to see what (Liverpool) have in their team and how we can stop them, so I'm sure we will be ready for them.

"It's like every game - we have to be focused for the 90 minutes, we have to take care of the small details, because they can be dangerous.

"Every small mistake they can punish you, so our concentration is very important, but, of course, we have to use our quality to score some goals as well."

Matic has been an ever-present in the United starting lineup in Premier League and Champions League fixtures this season.
