Martinez hopes for another upset

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez believes that the Latics are capable of causing another upset against Manchester United when they travel to Old Trafford tomorrow.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that his side will try to draw on last season's surprise victory over Manchester United when they go head to head this weekend.

The Latics secured a shock 1-0 victory over the Red Devils at the DW Stadium but Martinez believes that it will be more of a challenge at Old Trafford.

"You need to have a visual picture. Any big achievement starts with a dream," said Martinez.

"It really helps when you have something to fall back on. Last year's performance at the DW Stadium was everything we wanted in our performance.

"We were in a very difficult position, we needed the points, and in a way we forgot who we were playing against. That's something we need to bring into this season's encounter at Old Trafford."

Meanwhile, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has called on Red Devils fans and Liverpool supporters to refrain from chanting offensive songs following the Hillsborough revelations.
