Martial: 'I'm considered an altruistic person'

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has insisted that creating goals for his teammates is just as important as finding the net himself.

Upon his arrival from Monaco in the summer, the 20-year-old operated as a centre-forward.

However, in recent weeks Louis van Gaal has moved the Frenchman into a wider role, from where he assisted two goals during United's 3-1 win over Derby County in the FA Cup last time out.

Speaking about his new position, the youngster told MUTV: "I have always been considered as an altruistic person. This is something that has been said to me quite a lot.

"So both giving a decisive pass or scoring a goal means as much to me. At the end, the most important thing is to win as a team."

Martial has scored eight goals for the Red Devils in all competitions.
