Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire criticises his team's attacking players following Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth.

Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire has hit out at his team's attacking players for failing to carve out many clear chances during Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Joshua King scored the only goal of the match on the stroke of the interval as United suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium in Saturday's early kickoff.

Maguire has claimed that "the quality in the final third wasn't good enough" as the 20-time English champions lost for the fourth time in the Premier League this season.

"[We are] disappointed. We conceded at an awful time at a stage where we started the game really well. The first 20 minutes we were well on top, we have got to score in that period, with numerous chances," Maguire told MUTV.

"The quality in the final third wasn't good enough to create a real clear-cut chance, then they came into the game at the end of the first-half and it is an awful time to concede just before half-time, it is probably the worst."

United have picked up just 13 points from their 11 Premier League matches this season, leaving them in 10th position in the table ahead of next weekend's home clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
