Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has heaped praise on former teammate Harry Maguire, describing the centre-back as the "perfect example" for players to follow.
Speculation over the England international's future raged for much of the transfer window, but Maddison insists that his commitment to Leicester never wavered during that time.
"The way he conducted himself over the summer was fantastic and it's the perfect example for anyone going through that situation," Maddison told Sky Sports News.
"He came into training every day, trained as well as he could, was excellent in pre-season games and his focus was on Leicester.
"When it came to the time to sign for Manchester United then so be it, but he conducted himself brilliantly."
Maguire has made a confident start to life at Old Trafford, being named man of the match on his debut as the Red Devils kept a rare home clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Chelsea last weekend.body check tags ::
