Jose Mourinho says that he is looking forward to taking his Manchester United team to Anfield to face Liverpool on Monday night.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is looking forward to taking his Manchester United team to Anfield on Monday night.

In one of the biggest games to the season of date, Man United will travel to Liverpool, who currently sit two places and three points above their rivals in the Premier League table.

Mourinho has plenty of experience of Anfield following his time with Chelsea, and the Portuguese is relishing the atmosphere that is sure to be present during Monday's fixture.

"I always like to play at Anfield. I've won big matches and lost big matches there, so I cannot say I like to go there as I am always successful as this is not true," Mourinho told reporters.

"I like the atmosphere and the characteristics of the matches. It is a big match that can be comparable to Inter versus Milan and Real [Madrid] versus Barcelona, maybe Porto versus Benfica - this I like."

Man United have won on each of their last two Premier League visits to Liverpool.
