Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has insisted that he and his teammates need to prove to the supporters that they can turn things around after going eight games without a win.
The Red Devils sit sixth in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of leaders Arsenal following Monday night's goalless draw against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
"You have to fight for luck," Herrera told MUTV. "I think when you are in this situation you don't have to talk. You talk only on the pitch and we did that [against Chelsea].
"We didn't win but we were the better team on the pitch and created more chances than them. We cannot say we were much better than Chelsea but we deserved the victory. What I can say is we are going to talk on the pitch because we want to make our fans proud."
Recent results and performances have called Louis van Gaal's position as manager into question, but the Dutchman has insisted that he will not resign.
