Manchester City's Pep Guardiola wins Premier League Manager of the Month award

Manchester City's Pep Guardiola has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September.

City currently sit just ahead of rivals Manchester United at the top of the standings, and Guardiola has edged out rival Jose Mourinho to claim the second managerial accolade of the season.

Guardiola's men began the month with a 5-0 demolition of Liverpool before the following week, Sergio Aguero netted a hat-trick in a 6-0 triumph away at Watford.

The success at Vicarage Road was followed by a 5-0 victory against Crystal Palace, with September ending with an excellent 1-0 win away at Chelsea.

City are next in action when they host Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
