Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher could reportedly return to training with the club next month.

The 28-year-old has not played since November after being diagnosed with a bowel condition, but United sources have reportedly indicated that the Scotland international has made steady progress.

Fletcher has been coaching the reserve team during his absence, and it had been speculated that he would retire as a result of his condition.

He has appeared 302 times for United.
