Fans boo Wayne Rooney at parade

A number of Manchester United supporters jeered Wayne Rooney when he boarded the bus for the team's Premier League victory parade this evening.

The 27-year-old's future at Old Trafford is in the balance following Sir Alex Ferguson's revelation yesterday afternoon that he had requested a transfer.

That prompted a mixed reception for the United striker today. While some fans chanted his name, others could clearly be heard booing the England international.

Rooney was also not interviewed, despite the fact that the majority of his teammates were asked to answer a couple of questions.
