Radamel Falcao "proud" to be Manchester United player

Radamel Falcao admits that he is relishing the chance to link up with Angel di Maria at Manchester United.

Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has insisted that he feels "proud" to have joined the club.

The Colombian international, who secured a loan move to the Red Devils on transfer deadline day, also says that he is relishing the opportunity to link up with fellow new boy Angel di Maria at Old Trafford.

"We've been in talks with the club for some months and in the end we were able to meet an agreement with Monaco on the last day of the transfer deadline," Falcao is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

He added: "Angel is a fantastic player. I love the way he plays, I really do. I'm excited to be a team-mate of his. I'm very proud to be at Man United."

Falcao is expected to make his United debut against Queens Park Rangers following the international break.
