Man United's David de Gea fails to get one vote in FIFA Best Goalkeeper award

De Gea fails to receive vote in FIFA award

Manchester United star David de Gea reportedly did not receive a single vote in FIFA's Best Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Juventus and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon ended up taking the prize with 42.42% of the vote, while Bayern Munich shot-stopper Manuel Neuer came second.

Real Madrid's Keylor Navas was in third place when the votes were counted, while Chelsea's number one Thibaut Courtois secured fourth.

Another Premier League representative was Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris, who came fifth, but according to The Mirror, De Gea was missing entirely.

After a shaky start to life at Old Trafford following his 2011 move from Atletico Madrid, the 26-year-old has become first choice at United and has attracted interest from Real Madrid in the process.

The Spaniard started all but three of the Red Devils' 38 league games last season.
