David de Gea aware of Swansea threat

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has insisted that his team are fully aware of the danger that Swansea City could pose in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

The Red Devils have lost each of their last three league games against Swansea, including a 2-1 defeat in Wales earlier this season.

De Gea's side will also enter the match on the back of an eight-game winless run in all competitions, but the Spaniard is confident that the home team have the credentials to record three much-needed points.

"They are a good side. They are the sort of team that likes to play football and enjoy possession of the ball. It's true that last season they made life difficult for us and we lost both games against them," he told Man United's official website.

"I know we haven't done so well against them in the recent past, but it's a new year and so we'll obviously be giving it everything at Old Trafford in front of our own fans in order to secure the win."

Swansea spoiled Louis van Gaal's first league game in charge of Man United on the opening day of last season, winning 2-1 at Old Trafford.
