Saturday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Alex Telles, Sergio Reguilon, Jadon Sancho

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Saturday, September 19.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester United eye possible reinforcements.

The Red Devils brought in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo in the final days of the winter window but are still expected to be active in the summer as they aim to restore their former glories.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Saturday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United 'agree five-year deal for Alex Telles'

Manchester United have reportedly emerged as favourites to complete a deal for Porto defender Alex Telles.

While the left-back has established himself as one of his current team's star men, less than 12 months remain on his contract.

That has inevitably led to interest in his signature, including from United who have seemingly missed out on the signing of Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon.

According to RMC Sport, the 27-year-old has agreed to pen a contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Although United are yet to reach a compromise over a fee with Porto, it has been suggested that Telles could cost in the region of £25m.

The Brazilian appears in line to feature ahead of Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams in the pecking order.

Alex Telles agent 'confident of Manchester United bid'

Alex Telles's agent is reportedly confident that Manchester United will make a formal bid for the Porto defender before the transfer window closes.

The Red Devils have missed out on the signing of Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham Hotspur and are running out of time to land a new left-back.

Brazil international Telles has been touted as a possible alternative for United and, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, agent Pini Zahavi is expecting to hold further talks with the Premier League side.

Porto are said to be willing to do business with United and are looking to land around £18m for the 27-year-old, who has spent the past four years at the Estadio do Dragao.

Luke Shaw is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's current first choice at left-back but has struggled for form and fitness during his time at Old Trafford.
