Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Friday, September 11.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester United eye possible reinforcements.

The Red Devils brought in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo in the final days of the winter window but are still expected to be active in the summer as they aim to restore their former glories.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly in a strong position to sign Porto defender Alex Telles.

A new left-back is thought to be on the agenda for the Red Devils during this summer's transfer window, and Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Telles has been mentioned as a possible target for the 20-time English champions over the last few months, meanwhile, with the Brazil international impressing in Portugal last term.

The 27-year-old scored 13 times and provided 12 assists in 49 appearances at club level during the 2019-20 campaign, and a recent report claimed that his agent had travelled to England for talks with United.

According to A Bola, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Telles, but United are at the head of the queue for the defender, who is 'close' to leaving his current club.

The South American has a €40m (£37m) release clause in his current deal - due to expire next summer - but is allegedly available for €30m (£28m) in the current market.

Chelsea were also said to be interested before signing Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.

Manchester United 'hoping to have Jadon Sancho available for Crystal Palace match'

Manchester United are reportedly hopeful of signing Jadon Sancho in time for their 2020-21 Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on September 19.

The Red Devils are said to have made a breakthrough in their pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund attacker, who has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last few months.

BVB have insisted on a number of occasions that United have missed the deadline to sign the England international, but the transfer window is still open until early October.

According to Norwegian journalist Fredrik A. Filtvedt, writing for Dagbladet, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident of signing the Englishman before the clash with Palace at Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old would need to be registered as a United player by 12pm on the Friday before the match in order for him to be eligible to take to the field against Roy Hodgson's side.

The Red Devils are believed to have made strong progress in their discussions with Sancho's agents, although Dortmund are still said to be unprepared to drop their £108m asking price.

United's participation in the latter stages of the Europa League means that they have been given an extra week to recover before beginning their domestic campaign.
