Manchester United duo Andre Onana and Luke Shaw will both be available for Sunday's Premier League clash with Everton, but Rasmus Hojlund remains a doubt.

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that Andre Onana and Luke Shaw will both be available for Sunday's clash with Everton, but Rasmus Hojlund remains a doubt.

Onana picked up a pelvic problem during the international break, which led to him withdrawing from the Cameroon squad, making him a major doubt for this weekend's contest.

The club's number one goalkeeper has been able to train with the Red Devils this week, though, and he will be in the squad for the Premier League contest at Goodison Park.

Ten Hag also confirmed during Friday's pre-match press conference that Shaw, who has not played for more than three months due to a hamstring issue, would be in the squad, having fully recovered from the problem that he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur in August.

However, Hojlund remains a doubt due to the muscular strain that he suffered in the 1-0 win over Luton Town before the international break.

Hojlund is the team's leading goalscorer this season with five, but he is yet to net in the Premier League, and a call will be made on Saturday over his fitness for the clash at Goodison Park.

Ten Hag also said that experienced centre-back Jonny Evans is making strong progress in his recovery from the thigh issue that he suffered in the recent Champions League clash with Copenhagen.

"Andre is okay. He stepped in training today, he's good. Rasmus: still is a close finish. He's training, he finished outside, making very good steps and we have to wait until tomorrow and we will make a final decision," said the Man United boss on Friday.

"Luke Shaw will be available for Sunday, he will be in the squad. To Jonny: he's on the way back, he's not ready for Everton, he will not take long."

Ten Hag detailed the importance of Shaw's return, claiming that the England international will bring "many things" to the side, including making them "more stable".

"You can mention many things - physical, technical ability, it's clear. Long time this season we didn't have a left full-back. Very happy he is back. He will help us be more stable," he added.

Man United remain without the services of Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo due to injury problems.

Jadon Sancho is also still not involved with the first team and is set to leave in January, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka is back from the illness that saw him miss out against Luton before the international break.

Man United have won their last two Premier League matches and four of their last five, which has left them in sixth position in the table heading into the next set of fixtures.
