Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides Marcus Rashford injury update

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford will miss Monday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has ruled Marcus Rashford out of Monday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The England international picked up a groin injury in the second half of United's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Rashford missed Wednesday's EFL Cup clash with Rochdale, although it had been hoped that the academy product would be fit for Monday's key Premier League clash.

Solskjaer has ruled the 21-year-old out of the fixture with the Gunners, but the Red Devils boss is hopeful that the forward will be able to feature before the next international break at the start of October.

"He's recovering. He's not very, very bad so we hope to see him before the international break," Solskjaer told reporters.

Rashford has faced criticism for his early-season form despite netting three times in six Premier League outings, although two of those have come from the penalty spot.
