Cristiano Ronaldo was again absent from Manchester United's main training session on Thursday due to his hip problem, according to a report.

Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly again absent from Manchester United's main training session on Thursday morning due to his hip problem.

The Portugal international was not involved in last weekend's Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium, with interim head coach Ralf Rangnick revealing that the attacker was struggling with a hip flexor issue.

Ronaldo has been spotted back at Man United's training complex this week, having returned to England after flying back to Portugal over the weekend.

However, according to The Mirror, the 37-year-old again did not train with his teammates on Thursday morning, placing his involvement in Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur in severe doubt.

Ronaldo missed two games against Aston Villa in January with the same issue and could now be absent for back-to-back matches for the Red Devils at a vital stage of the season.

The attacker has netted 15 times in 30 appearances for the 20-time English champions since returning to the club from Juventus last summer.

However, there remains ongoing speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford, with the Portuguese allegedly keen to leave this summer, one year before the end of his contract.
