Jose Mourinho reportedly tells Paul Pogba to spend 10 days on holiday during the international break before stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ordered Paul Pogba to take a mini break as he recovers from a hamstring injury, according to a report.

The France international is expected to miss between four and six weeks of action after pulling up during the Red Devils' 3-0 win over Basel in the Champions League.

United are still awaiting official confirmation of how long the ex-Juventus ace will be absent, but The Sun claims that Mourinho has urged the midfielder to pack his bags and enjoy 10 days away as part of his injury rehab.

Pogba is said to have left his manager unhappy with the way he managed the existing problem, though Mourinho is desperate to get one of his key players back up and running as quickly as possible.

A United source is quoted by the publication as saying: "Paul is being given some time off before he steps up his rehab from a hamstring injury.

"He has another scan soon, but the injury has to settle down first and then a full assessment can be made. He will be allowed to head off on holiday during the international break and then return for a comeback to action."

Pogba had made a bright start to his second campaign at United since rejoining from Juve, playing a direct part in four goals in his first four league games.
