Lukaku injured, but avoids fracture

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly suffered an ankle injury, but scans have shown that there is not any serious damage.

It is believed that the former Everton star sat out of a training session with the Belgium national team today due to the problem.

Journalist Kristof Terreur reported on Twitter that the United hitman underwent a scan, which revealed that no ligament damage or fractures were suffered.

The Belgian reporter wrote on social media that Lukaku has been put on an "individual training programme" and it remains unclear whether he will be fit for World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus.

The striker has scored seven Premier League goals so far this season for United.
