Blind's injury 'not as bad as feared'

Manchester United are reportedly not expected to be without injured Daley Blind for as long as they initially feared following the midfielder's knee injury.

Reports emerged suggesting that the 24-year-old could be sidelined for six weeks with knee ligament damage suffered during the Netherlands' 6-0 thumping of Latvia on Sunday.

However, according to the Daily Star, Blind could return to action inside four weeks after scans showed that the he has a tear on his medial ligament.

Blind is the latest player to join the treatment table at United following goalkeeper David de Gea, who dislocated his finger on international duty with Spain.
