Jack Grealish was recalled to the starting lineup against Luton after missing the previous three games with a groin injury, but the Englishman was withdrawn towards the end of the first half after aggravating the same problem. Guardiola has since confirmed that Grealish will miss the Manchester derby and may not be fit to represent England during the international break later this month.

Josko Gvardiol has missed the last six games with an ankle ligament injury, but Guardiola said prior to the win at Luton that the defender is "on the verge" of making his return.
