Man United injury, suspension news vs. Arsenal: Patrick Dorgu, Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte updates

Any fitness boosts for Amorim? Man United injury, suspension news vs. Arsenal

Manchester United will be aiming to make it successive wins in the Premier League when they continue their campaign with a home fixture against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils were last in league action on February 26, beating Ipswich Town 3-2 at Old Trafford, but a disastrous campaign has left them down in 14th spot in the Premier League table.

Ruben Amorim's side will enter this match off the back of a European fixture, drawing 1-1 with Real Sociedad in the first leg of their last-16 Europa League contest on Thursday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Arsenal, who are second in the table, 13 points behind the leaders Liverpool.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez suffered a severe knee injury during Man United's Premier League match against Crystal Palace on February 2, and the Argentina international, who has undergone an operation, is now expected to be on the sidelines for the remainder of 2025.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has only made three appearances this season due to ongoing injury problems, and the England international recently had a setback in his recovery from his latest issue; a return date for the 29-year-old is therefore still unclear.

Mason Mount

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Mount was again absent against Spurs due to the problem which forced him off the field against Manchester City in the Manchester derby in December, and the Englishman is still not close to making his return.

Jonny Evans

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Experienced centre-back Evans is not currently available for selection due to a muscular problem.

Altay Bayindir

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Arsenal)

Bayindir has missed Man United's last six matches due to an unspecified issue, and the Turkey international remains a major doubt for the clash with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Tom Heaton

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Arsenal)

Heaton has missed Man United's last six matches due to an unspecified issue, and the club's number three goalkeeper will need to be assessed ahead of the fixture with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Kobbie Mainoo

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Mainoo picked up a calf injury in training last month, and the England international is now expected to be missing until the start of April in what is a major blow for the Red Devils at an important stage of the campaign.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Amad suffered an ankle injury during a recent training session, which had seemingly ended this season, but Amorim has said that the Ivorian could yet feature before the end of the campaign.

Manuel Ugarte

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Arsenal)

Ugarte was not involved against Real Sociedad due to a minor problem which he suffered against Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend, but the midfielder has a strong chance of being available for this match.

Harry Maguire

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Arsenal)

Like Ugarte, Maguire did not travel to Spain due to an issue which he picked up against Fulham, but the centre-back should be available for selection against the Gunners at Old Trafford.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Patrick Dorgu

Status: Suspended Possible return date: March 13 (vs. Real Sociedad)

Dorgu will again be suspended for Man United this weekend due to the red card that he picked up against Ipswich on February 26, but he will be available against Real Sociedad in the Europa League next week.
