Man United injury, suspension news vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Diogo Dalot updates

Yoro, De Ligt, Dalot updates: Man United injury, suspension news vs. Tottenham

Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final in Bilbao, Spain on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils have had a disastrous domestic campaign, sitting down in 16th spot in the Premier League table, and they will enter this match off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

However, their season would be saved by beating Tottenham in the Europa League final, as success in the competition would secure Champions League football for the 2025-26 campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Tottenham, who will enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Leny Yoro

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: May 21 (vs. Tottenham)

Yoro limped off the field in the Premier League clash with West Ham United last weekend, with the Frenchman suffering an injury to his left foot, but the centre-back returned to training on Tuesday and is in the squad for the final.

Diogo Dalot

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: May 21 (vs. Tottenham)

Dalot has recently been absent due to a calf injury, but the Portugal international returned to training on Tuesday and has been named in the travelling squad.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez suffered a severe knee injury during Man United's Premier League match against Crystal Palace on February 2, and the Argentina international is expected to be on the sidelines for the remainder of 2025.

Joshua Zirkzee

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: May 21 (vs. Tottenham)

Zirkzee had been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign when he suffered hamstring injury during the team's loss to Newcastle in the Premier League on April 13, but the Netherlands international has made a spectacular return to the squad for the final.

Matthijs de Ligt

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

De Ligt has been sidelined since the clash with Brentford on May 4 due to a knee injury; the centre-back was initially due to return against Chelsea, but he again missed out, and the Netherlands international is also out of the final.
