Man United injury news vs. FC Twente: Will Luke Shaw return to action?

Manchester United will be bidding to make the perfect start to their 2024-25 Europa League campaign when they welcome Dutch outfit FC Twente to Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last three matches in all competitions, including a goalless draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday night.

The 20-time English champions will now switch their attention to European football, with their opening match in the new-look competition set to take place in Manchester against the 2009-10 Eredivisie winners.

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Arsenal)

Yoro will be on the sidelines until at least the start of December due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during a pre-season clash with Arsenal, with his debut for the club potentially coming against the Gunners.

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia missed the entirety of last season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, and the Dutchman is still not ready to return, but he was able to take part in the warm-up part of the club's training session on Friday.

Shaw has been absent early in the season due to a calf problem, and the left-back will again miss out here, but he could return before the October international break.

Lindelof is yet to feature this season due to a toe problem; the Sweden international returned to training last week, but he will again be unavailable against Twente.
