Klaas-Jan Huntelaar postpones contract talks

Reported Manchester United transfer target Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has postponed contract talks with Schalke until after Euro 2012.

German club Schalke are keen for the Dutch international to pen a new deal, with just 15 months remaining on his current terms.

However, the striker has admitted that his sole focus this summer will be on Holland's quest to win the European Championships.

"There will be time to gather my thoughts after the season," he told Bild. "Before then, I want to focus on scoring goals and not let myself be distracted at the European Championships."

The 28-year-old has scored 40 goals from 38 outings this season.
