Manchester United have gone top of Champions League Group C with a 2-0 victory at home to Otelul Galati.

The Bulgarian nearly scored soon after, but his shot was cleared off the line by Otelul defender Sergio Costin.

On a night of wastefulness in front of goal for United, Wayne Rooney sealed the win late on when his shot took a wicked deflection into the Otelul net.
