Sir Alex Ferguson says that there will be goals when Manchester United travel to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has guaranteed that there will be goals when his side meet Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The two sides meet in the last 16 of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu for a clash which has been heavily anticipated since the draw was made.

The Scot says that he is looking forward to a battle between two of the best clubs in the world.

"Jose [Mourinho] summed it up perfectly. It is a game everyone has been waiting for," said Ferguson.

"It is a game that is a fantastic challenge for myself and it should be a fantastic match between two teams and two clubs who embrace the best parts of football.

"It won't be 0-0 on Wednesday, I can assure you of that. There will be goals."

The two sides meet in Spain on Wednesday.
