Real Madrid are tipped by La Liga president Javier Tebas to sign forwards Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland amidst competition from Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has tipped Real Madrid to sign attacking duo Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland in the summer transfer window.

With both young forwards coming closer to the end of their contracts with Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund respectively, they have been linked with moves to some of Europe's top sides.

The top-flight president has now stated that he believes both will join the Spanish giants, saying: "Madrid will get Mbappe and [Erling] Haaland as the others [Barcelona and Juventus] are half [financially] ruined," as quoted by The Mirror.

Mbappe, who sees his PSG contract expire in the summer, has continuously been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, while Haaland was also reportedly the target of approaches from the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Barcelona.

With their Spanish rivals said to be struggling to finance the signing, Los Blancos have now stepped into pole position in the race for the Norwegian, who has been absent through injury since the beginning of February, after scoring 16 goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances at the start of the campaign and is contracted at Signal Iduna Park until 2024.

Carlo Ancelotti's men faced Mbappe in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, and he popped up with a 94th-minute goal to give the French giants a lead heading into the second leg in the Spanish capital.

The 23-year-old has now notched up 154 goals and 77 assists in 204 appearances since his switch from Monaco, while Haaland has 80 goals and 21 assists to his name in 79 BVB appearances, including a tournament-high 10 goals in last season's Champions League campaign.
