Man City 'to wait until summer for Kane, Haaland move'

Manchester City reportedly intend to wait until next summer to revive their interest in Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.

Earlier this week, the Citizens confirmed that forward Ferran Torres will join Barcelona in January for €55m (£46.3m) plus €10m (£8.4m) in add-ons.

Since the departure of Sergio Aguero, Pep Guardiola has used a plethora of his attacking options in a false nine role, which has not hindered their brilliance in front of goal as the Premier League leaders have outscored the rest of the league with 51 strikes in their 19 matches.

With City finding other routes to score goals, ESPN reports that Guardiola will put the signing of a new centre-forward on hold until the summer of 2022.

The report adds that the Citizens remain interested in both Kane and Haaland, with the former still believed to be their number one target.

Kane has scored only four goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season, while Haaland has netted 13 Bundesliga goals in just 11 games.
