Manchester City 'to offer £75m for Paul Pogba'

Manchester City will reportedly look to beat other clubs to the signing of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba by offering £75m before the start of Euro 2016.

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to pay up to £75m to bring Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager is expected to spark a major overhaul of the squad, with the Spaniard linked with moves for some of Europe's biggest players.

talkSPORT reports that he has placed former Manchester United man Pogba at the top of that list, although a number of other clubs are understood to be interested in the 23-year-old.

Barcelona are thought to be leading the race for his signature, while the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to make a move for the France international.

However, the report goes on to claim that City could look to beat their rivals to the punch and push a deal through before Euro 2016.

Juventus are keen to keep the highly-rated midfielder, but it is thought that an offer in excess of £70m could tempt them to sell.
