Manchester City prepare £30m Luke Shaw bid?

Manchester City are reportedly preparing a £30m summer bid for Southampton defender Luke Shaw.

The 18-year-old full-back has been linked with a host of top Premier League clubs this season following a string of impressive displays for the Saints.

However, City are now ready to trump their rivals by making a big offer for the youngster, according to Goal.com.

The two clubs are understood to have already enjoyed preliminary talks over a possible transfer.

Shaw recently made his debut for the England senior team during their friendly win over Denmark at Wembley Stadium.
