Adriano Galliani says that AC Milan are unlikely to revive their interest in signing Carlos Tevez.

AC Milan president Adriano Galliani appears to have given up any hope of signing Carlos Tevez.

The Manchester City striker was heavily linked to the Rossoneri during the January transfer window as he looked for an exit from England.

Galliani said that he was a big fan of the Argentine striker but has now admitted defeat in his quest to bring him to Milan.

"A train like that doesn't pass for a second time," said the 67-year-old.

"I watched Carlitos, who hadn't played for six months, come on with the tenacity he always showed and he changed the game. This could be a turning point for Manchester City.

"I think he's terrific. I was a big fan of Tevez, but destiny dictated what happened and we are more than pleased with Maxi Lopez."

Tevez returned to Roberto Mancini's squad for their midweek game against Chelsea.
