Atletico Madrid target Edin Dzeko loan move?

Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko could receive a loan approach from Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

Atletico had been chasing Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, and they were prepared to bid £24m for the Belgian striker.

However, according to the Daily Star, the La Liga side are ready to switch their attention to Dzeko.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international could be allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium on loan, but if City preferred a permanent deal, the 27-year-old would represent a cheaper option than Benteke.
