Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero acknowledges that his side have to keep their eye on the ball after ticking off another game in pursuit of the Premier League title.

Sergio Aguero has urged his Manchester City teammates to remain calm after returning to winning ways with a 3-1 triumph against Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

The Argentina international notched his 11th hat-trick in a City shirt to dispose of the Magpies, six days on from losing their unbeaten record with a 4-3 defeat away at Liverpool.

City remain 12 points clear of closest challengers Manchester United, but Aguero acknowledges that it is still too early to start celebrating with 14 games of the Premier League season left to go.

"We're really happy with the victory," he told BT Sport. "We needed it after last week. It's a long season though and we've not won anything yet. We need to keep going and pushing onto the next game."

Aguero is the seventh player to reach the landmark of 200 Premier League appearances for Man City.
