Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Bromwich Albion

Man City injury, suspension list vs. West Brom

Manchester City will be out to win their 11th game in a row across all competitions when they travel to The Hawthorns to take on relegation-threatened West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.

Pep Guardiola's men could have been on the wrong end of another FA Cup giant killing after Cheltenham Town's Alfie May gave the League Two side the lead on Saturday, but Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres ensured that City avoided a major upset to advance to the fifth round.

Furthermore, the Citizens have propelled themselves back into title contention in the past couple of months and will rise to the top of the table - for 24 hours at least - with victory in the Black Country.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's game.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscular Possible return date: February 27 (vs. West Ham United)

Kevin De Bruyne was forced off with a hamstring problem in the Citizens' midweek victory over Aston Villa, and that injury will keep him out for up to six weeks. As a result, the playmaker is expected to miss crunch matches with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal next month.

Kyle Walker

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hip Possible return date: January 26 (vs. West Bromwich Albion)

Kyle Walker took a kick to the hips in Wednesday's triumph over Villa and was not risked against Cheltenham. Guardiola hopes to see the England international back in contention for this game, and he has been pictured in training earlier this week.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Out Type of injury: Coronavirus Possible return date: Unknown

Sergio Aguero's torrid fortunes in the 2020-21 campaign continued after he was told to self-isolate as a precaution, and now the Argentine has returned a positive coronavirus test. The injury-plagued striker will therefore be forced to remain out of action for a little while longer.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscular Possible return date: Unknown

While Aymeric Laporte and Eric Garcia were able to recover in time for the trip to Cheltenham, Guardiola conceded that Nathan Ake was not quite ready. The Dutchman is not expected to shake off his injury in time for Tuesday's game either.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players suspended for this match.
