Preview: West Ham United vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between West Ham United and the reigning champions Manchester City.

Manchester City will be eager to leapfrog their local rivals Manchester United in the table when they go up against West Ham United this weekend.

The reigning English champions currently sit third in the Premier League table, with Chelsea topping the league by just one extra point.

Meanwhile, the Hammers can edge closer to the top five if they cause an upset to the champions on their home ground of Upton Park on Saturday.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is expected to rely on Andy Carroll as the side's main goal threat, with Kevin Nolan controlling the midfield, while City boss Roberto Mancini could welcome back David Silva, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

Recent form:

West Ham: DWLWL

Man City: DWWWW

Possible lineups:

West Ham: Jaaskelainen; Tomkins, Collins, Reid, McCartney; Jarvis, Noble, Nolan, Diame, Benayoun; Carroll

Man City: Hart; Zabaleta, Nastasic, Kompany, Clichy; Nasri, Toure, Barry, Silva; Tevez, Aguero

Sports Mole says: 1-2
