Yaya Toure out for up to two weeks

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini reveals that Yaya Toure will be out of action for up to two weeks with the muscle injury that he suffered against Liverpool.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Yaya Toure will be sidelined for up to two weeks with the muscle injury that he picked up against Liverpool.

The midfielder was forced off during City's 3-2 defeat at Anfield on Sunday after straining his leg while taking a shot.

"Maybe it's not as bad as we thought at the beginning but he needs at least 10 days or two weeks to recover," Pellegrini told reporters.

City are back in action on Wednesday when they entertain Sunderland in the Premier League.
