Yaya Toure: 'I don't want another dramatic final day'

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure admits that he doesn't want to go through the drama of his side's title win two years ago again this season.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has admitted that he doesn't want go through a repeat of the drama of his side's title win two years ago.

City needed to beat Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the season but fell 2-1 behind, nearly handing the title to local rivals Manchester United.

However, Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero struck in the dying minutes to secure the crown, and Toure is hopeful that life will be simpler for Manuel Pellegrini's side this week.

He is quoted as saying by The Mirror: "I don't want to live through something like that again. We had QPR at home when it was almost too much for my heart. Going right to the last minute, it was unbelievable.

"I think the supporters would say like me that we don't want to live through that again. I hope this time, in these two games, we can make a difference earlier and get the wins early.

"Aston Villa and West Ham are coming – we need to be ready. We need to be well prepared for these games and not make it as close as last time."

City face Aston Villa and West Ham United this week knowing that two victories should be enough to hand them the title.
