Carlos Tevez still absent from Manchester City training

Carlos Tevez has failed to attend Manchester City training this morning, despite receiving a letter instructing him to participate in a fitness session.

It is believed that the 27-year-old remains in his native Argentina, having travelled there last week without consent from the Premier League leaders.

The club have yet to make a comment on the new development, while Tevez has also chosen to remain silent.

Should the striker refuse to return, City could cancel his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
