Stefan Savic plays down Kolo Toure row

Manchester City defender Stefan Savic has played down a potential rift with teammate Kolo Toure.

The Ivorian had been quoted in the French press as saying that he wasn't impressed by the Serbian's performances this season.

However, Toure has since claimed that he was misinterpreted.

"He said to me that he didn't say anything," Savic told the Manchester Evening News.

"Straight away after that came out in the newspaper he spoke with me and said he didn't tell them anything and I can only believe him. I don't think he should say something like that."

The 20-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Premier League leaders since his £6m summer move from Partizan.
