Manchester City's Samir Nasri undergoes successful groin surgery

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has confirmed that he is recovering following a successful groin operation.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini expects the Frenchman to be out of action for one month due to the troublesome injury.

After going under the knife, Nasri posted a photo to Twitter of himself in hospital with the message: "Thanks for the support! Surgery went well! Now time for recovery!"

Nasri was absent from City's 4-2 victory over Hull City on Saturday.
