Samir Nasri: 'Manchester City must wake up'

Samir Nasri admits that he is fearful of Manchester City dropping out of the Premier League's top four following recent results.

Samir Nasri has admitted that Manchester City are looking over their shoulders rather than focusing on catching Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Manuel Pellegrini's men are second in the table, seven points behind the Blues, after being held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Nasri says that City must get their act together if they are to catch Chelsea and also avoid slipping out of the top four.

"We have to wake up and do the job now before it's too late," he told The Express.

"Chelsea, with no disrespect, are not like Liverpool who dropped points last season. They are really solid.

"We have to catch them as soon as possible if we want to be champions. But at the same time we have to look behind us. Southampton have won again, United are getting close. We'll see."

City travel to Stoke City on Wednesday evening.
