James Milner wants to be Manchester City regular

Manchester City midfielder James Milner has revealed his determination at trying to get back into the first team.

The England international has started just six games for the Premier League champions so far this season, having suffered from numerous injury problems.

However, after an impressive display during his side's 3-0 win over Stoke City on New Year's Day, Milner believes that he can force his way back into the City team.

"I just want to play in every game and contribute to the team," Milner said.

"It's been a frustrating season for me so far with injuries. I seem to get in the team and then pick up an injury so it's been really frustrating, but all I can do is work as hard as I can.

"It was a great start to the New Year and hopefully the first win of many."

City host Watford in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
