Milner targets Arsenal scalp

James Milner has said that Manchester City will bounce back from Monday's loss to Chelsea by beating Arsenal at the Ethiad this weekend.

The 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge cut City's lead at the top of the Premier League table to just two points, and Milner says that they will be determined to get back on track against Arsenal.

"We are pretty devastated but it adds even more incentive for us to bounce back from this disappointment and put it into a performance at the weekend," Milner said.

"We will learn what we can from this game and move forward. We have the hunger to go and win again at the weekend."

The midfielder said that City were guilty of not pushing hard enough for a win against Chelsea.

"We started very well, moving it around and managed to create a few chances. But we took our foot off the gas for whatever reason," he admitted.

"That gets the crowd up and they managed to ride that wave."

City currently lead the league with 38 points from 15 games.
