Roberto Mancini reveals that Carlos Tevez could stay at Manchester City, but only if he apologises for his recent actions.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hinted that Carlos Tevez could still have a future at the club.

However, any chance of the Argentine striker remaining at the Etihad Stadium would depend upon him apologising to his boss.

Mancini initially claimed that Tevez was "finished" after the pair clashed during City's 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in September.

The former Manchester United striker was subsequently fined two weeks' wages and is has been said that the club would look to offload the 27-year-old during the January transfer window.

However, Mancini has insisted that the centre-forward could stay put if he shows some remorse.

"Everything depends on Carlos. If he apologises to the squad and to me then everything will be as before," Mancini is quoted as saying in Corriere della Sera.

"If he doesn't then Tevez has a value that everyone knows and something will happen in January. He is totally unprepared and being badly advised.

"I don't want it to be like this and I would be the first to forgive him."

Tevez joined the Blues in 2009 after a two-year stint with city rivals United.
