Manchester duo to meet in first non-UK derby

Manchester City and Manchester United will contest the first-ever Manchester derby outside of the UK in pre-season this summer.

Both clubs were yesterday confirmed as part of the International Champions Cup lineup, and they will meet in a friendly the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on July 25.

It will be one of the first matches for City with Pep Guardiola in charge, and United could also have a new man at the helm if under-fire Louis van Gaal fails to keep his job.

United currently have the bragging rights having won Sunday's latest derby instalment 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from young striker Marcus Rashford.

The ICC tournament will also see United play Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on July 22, and City take on the German side in Shenzhen on July 28.
