Manchester City's Abu Dhabi owners have reportedly decided to wait to open contract negotiations with manager Roberto Mancini until the end of the season.
The Italian coach is believed to have indicated during the Christmas period that he was willing to start discussions over an extension to his current contract, which expires in 2013.
It is thought that the North West club's hierarchy have postponed talks with Mancini as they intend to assess the season as a whole in the summer, according to Goal.com.
