Vincent Kompany: 'We will cope with Sergio Aguero absence'

Vincent Kompany believes that Manchester City will cope with the loss of Sergio Aguero to injury.

Vincent Kompany has insisted that Manchester City can deal with Sergio Aguero's absence after the striker suffered an injury during Sunday's victory over Southampton.

The club captain believes that Carlos Tevez will fill the void left by Aguero, who has revealed that he is eager to return as quickly as possible.

Kompany said: "I hope Sergio won't be out for that long but I would point to last season where we had to cope with these kind of issues and we did it very well. If we have to, I'm sure we will again.

"I don't want to speculate too much about Sergio because I don't know if he is going to be out for any length of time, but having Carlos at his best level is obviously a big bonus for us."

Aguero will begin physio on the knee injury on Wednesday.
